My name is Karina, the voice and heart behind Nomelina. I have always had a desire to travel. As a little girl, I dreamt of exploring the world, even though travel wasn’t a part of my family’s life. It always felt like an impossible dream—until everything changed during undergrad. Thanks to scholarships that made studying abroad possible as a first-generation student, I found myself living and learning in a new country. That experience was transformative, igniting a lifelong passion for travel. It even inspired me to teach English in France for a year, where I truly began to see the world not just as a visitor but as a global citizen.

My journey has taken me from the cozy corners of a chambre de bonne in Paris to the opulent elegance of Le Savoy in Marrakesh and everything in between. Along the way, I’ve realized that travel is just one part of life’s adventures. It’s about immersing yourself in new experiences, embracing change, and discovering beauty in both the extraordinary and the everyday.
